Default From Upper and Middle Franconia

2.7M Underwood Bavarian Forestry Police circa CMP 2011-2012. Purchased from SS. Stamped Bavarian Forestry Police O + M for Upper and Middle Franconia. Favorite M1 Carbine to date. Some plum parts visible and Austrian markings on trigger guard demonstrate pedigree. Enjoy.

That's a beauty, nice figure on the stock too. In case you haven't seen it, The CCC has
a wonderful section on these. I missed the CMP offering, out of state at the time.
Good to see you back and posting J.E.

Thank you. Good to be back. Had a four year waiting period at Miami Rifle and Pistol in Batavia, OH. Couldn't shoot matches and that had me hesitant. Now its on like Donkey Kong!!!!!

Hey Jason, good to see you back on the forum!
I know you have some nice CMP rifles from during Mr Michael's tenure, man those were the days. Beautiful Bavarian you have too. The one I received via luck of the draw mail order is one of my favorite CMP rifles ever, made me wish I'd order more than 1 service grade Bavarian w/flip sight (for $725), but with this one I don't think I could have been happier, I was just hoping for a nice Winchester or IBM..........CMP over-delivered my hopes! It's the nicest original USGI stock of any rifle I own, and like you, Jason, I covet great GI wood!

Wow!!!! She sure is a looker. Man alive what I wouldn't do for a time machine. That has to be one of the sharpest M1 Carbines I've seen to date. Nothing like old growth forest walnut and GI pedigree to make a rifle feel special. Nice to hear from you Craftsman and thanks for posting the pics. Really enjoyed them.
