Default M2 30-06 Springfield - When will this be available again?

Anyone have any idea when M2 will be available again from CMP or whom might have the M2 Greek ammo available.

Thanks!

I've learned never to say never but it is very unlikely we will see the CMP selling M2 ball surplus 30.06 ammunition again. If you're looking for surplus Greek HXP you can usually find someone selling it on the Ammunition sales on this forum. Be prepared to pay $1.25 a round for it though. Good luck, Eddie

Thank you for the information.

I have only used the Greek from CMP in the past. Is there a "better" recommendation.

I don't want to update the Gas Plug - I keep the Garand as original as possible.

The Federal American Eagle loads for the M1 are pretty good as well, whenever they are available again someday.

The CMP Creedmoor Garand ammo looks pretty nice as well, hopefully it'll be available again before too long.

30-06 CMP Creedmoor Garand ammo is currently in production at Creedmoor and being delivered to CMP see the Apr Q&A: https://www.creedmoorsports.com/prod...fle-Ammunition

A: Hey,

Thank you for your questions. This is Brent Books, the GM. Dennis moved up to Virginia and hasn't been with Creedmoor for a few years now, but he still comes down to visit every once in a while. We don't have an estimate on when any .308 ammo will be available due to the component shortage. It's likely to be in 2022 if we're able to make any. Our .30-06 ammo will be sold through the CMP and I can't speak for them as far as when they'll make it available for purchase. Please give me a call if you have any other questions. I'd be happy to help.

Thank you,

Brent

That link brings up .308 / 7.62mm NATO, Not 30-06 / .30 cal M2 rifle ammunition.
