Default 1/27 N Store Report

I got there at 7am and I was the 9th person there. There were around 25 people in line at 8am... many more came after that. 20 were let in at a time. (Things got a little weird with an attempt at a "line list" so people could wait in their cars. Two guys disregarded the list, jumped the line and then it all broke down.)
The inventory was basically what people expected besides some M1Ds and Winchester Racks that I saw. (There were also more IHCs than we expected.) Good USGI wood was scarce. Most of the USGI wood I saw was pretty beat with little or no markings. (I didn't see a single IHC stock on any of the 40+ IHCs in that store.)
The prices went up on several categories. I bought a Service Grade IHC for $1130 and a 5Mil Gap IHC for $1900. I reluctantly passed on the 4Mil Gap for $2100 pictured that had a gorgeous unmarked birch replacement stock. There was a limit of one rifle of the standard grades, but you could buy as many "premium" grades as you want, hence me buying two. There were many USGI web slings for $10-20 and some WW2 leather slings for $100. No M1 bayos.
I was told that what was on the floor is all that they have. There is no known plan for a restock. (A gentleman who was behind the counter actually drove all of these up from Anniston.)
I am sure that someone will have a more detailed report with total quantities at some point. Overall it was a great time and I was happy to finally get a nice IHC!

Thanks for the update..... those line jumpers should have been thrown out!

Besides the Expert grades, were there any SA or HRA field or service grades?

You are welcome! No SA or HRA service grades, only IHC service, and not very many of those either. There were significantly more total "Gap letter" rifles than standard IHC Service Grade.

The prices went up on the special categories.
So almost half of the 100 rifles were IHC's? Any break down of the other half?
What Specials were there and how much of a price increase?
Thanks for going and your report!

No prob, I changed "special" to "several" because it was confusing. Basically the IHC Gap Letters went up considerably compared to the numbers that were posted recently, and probably other specialty categories too.
Yes there were a large percentage of IHCs. I am sorry that I do not have an exact count since I did not plan to do a store report. Hopefully somebody will follow up with that info.

Kinda sorry I wasn't there to fondle real USGI surplus one more time, but glad I passed. I'd like to know more about the condition and number of Expert Grades, but thank you for the IHC report and other insights.

Nice to see they finally pried some nice slings out of Alabama fingers to send up North.

Those IHC Gap Letter prices are what has been posted for at least a couple of month from TMP Store. That was a nice birch stock. I have my IHC in a stock like that but it does not have the striping. My birch however has sans serif "P" on the grip and a small crossed cannons (0.18?) on the underside of the grip.
