Sun City, Arizona
(located just west of the Phoenix Ben Avery Range and the Western CMP Games and Creedmoor Cup Matches) http://www.basfaz.com/ also see http://www.asrpa.com/ I am one of a few LEGAL immigrants here, from Upstate New York & Florida. I quickly adapted to the evershine sun, the cloudless blue sky, the beautiful and sometimes snow capped mountains and the almost total absence of insects. I don't miss the snow and ice of NY but have only a 2 hour drive to find it if I want it. I certainly don't miss the humidity and blood sucking insects of Florida. Best of all, a friendlier atmosphere for gun owners and gun toters, with or without a CCW, is hard to find anywhere.. Last edited by VMFn542bob; 01-03-2010 at 11:35 AM. |

Nice to have you on the forum.
I’ve been to NY and Southern Ontario to fish in the spring; those mosquitoes are big enough to breed a goose. Bill Poole runs a nice website for competition shooting in Arizona http://arizona-rifleshooting.com/, tell him us folks in PA are jealous of the weather you guys have. I hear it does get mighty hot there in the summer. In a few years I’ll be retired and have to come out there for the Western Games. |

![]() I spent many pleasant weekends in Lancaster with my family when they were growing up. The beauty of the Amish farms and the people, horses & carriages to be seen there is beyond description. Takes one back in time at leas1 100 years. Last edited by VMFn542bob; 01-08-2010 at 06:51 PM. |

NewGuy556 - I'm also a 3rd generation Arizona native - grandmother was born here in 1896, my father in 1921 and myself in 1956. My son has us beat as he was born here in 1989 and is fourth generation native Arizonan. However, roadkingtrax's wife definately wins the prize.
