How square is the oprod tab?
IMO pics tell at least as much as measurements;

What are popular with collectors? CAI receiver Garands? l don't think so. Maybe popular with recyclers, LOL. Or as a single side book end. The problems the OP is having are typical with those poor quality cast receivers.

I wouldn't put a round through that rifle for fear of eating the op rod or blowing the bolt through the receiver heel on a full op rod disconnect.

Sounds to me, the best use for that CAI receiver is for the anchor for a duck decoy.
