Default Type 1 - U marked M1 Carbine Magazine

Does anyone have any additional information on this magazine manufacturer?
Riesch only lists as Miscellaneous.
Thanks,
Wick

Union Hardware made USGI Mags with just a "U" marking. There are also Korean made commercial Mags with a "U" marking.

Thank you USMC.
Is it fair to assume that as a Type I magazine it would be more inclined to be WWII vintage vs. Korean?

If you are referring to the type of floorplate when you say "type I" then all I can say is that all of the Union Hardware mags listed in the below reference site have type 3 floorplates.
No idea what floorplate the Korean mags have.

Great website. Thanks for sharing.
You are correct, the floor plate on my example is type 3 on my sample.
Thanks again!

One brand of U stamped Korean made magazines has base plates like this:

There may be others.

Thanks for the added info Matt. Mine has a flat floor plate without the rails or the hole. Appreciate you taking the time to share.
