More questions if I may, this is all new to me all I've ever owned are "standard 03's". Since this is a 1928 rifle would the Lyman sight be long or short scale. Plus, for those who are educated on the Redfield front sight, would the original front sight barrel stud have been ground off in order to install the Redfield.

What does RSFB stand for? Never heard of that one

RSFB = Rear Sight Fixed Base, sometimes referred to as Rear Sight Collar.

Great score! You just can't not keep looking for these gems....It takes me a few hours a day but it sure has been fun when you find one.
