Default Brief N. S. report,3/26/2021

Hi all
I got there at 11:25 am, with no appointment, and was allowed to walk right in.

Current Garand rifle limit is: 2 per month, 8 per year total.

I chose two ww2 era SA Garand's. Nothing special...well, yes they are. To me.

Lots of IHC Garand's, Lots of Krags.

AMMO!

30.06 is GAWN!

I purchased 2 cases of Creedmore .223 75gr match ammo for my Service rifle shooting. Happy about that. They said they only have/had a couple cases left. I was tempted to buy it all, but why? Let the next shooter have some.

3 (very) used, oily M1 cotton slings for only $5 each.

Like the title said, a brief report.

Default Thanks for the report

I am scheduled for next Friday am and was debating not going until ths report. Might not be a huge inventory but any inventory is great! Thanks for the positive report.

Were there still a lot of DoD tagged rifles I mentioned seeing on Friday? I posted my report in the prior weeks report because I'm lazy.

Full rack of IHC? I took one home, and curious if they had all of them out, or more in the back. Also, interesting thing to note- I noticed a lot of the inspection tags were from late 2020 on the service grades and IHCs, compared to the early 2021 tags on a lot of mail orders.

Wait, back up here.....

The North Store has USGI SLINGS!?!?!?

Many may not know this, but we all just witnessed a minor recent miracle.

Does Anniston know that slings were smuggled North? er... I mean Nawth.

Lol Congrats on the rifles and to the CMP for sending them. Here's hoping you can post pics soon.

How many service grades were still available? I'm planning on making the drive this Friday to pick out my first Garand, this will be my only opportunity to go to the North Store for a while so I'm hoping it's worth it.

LOL, DUDE!! You are so right! You obviously saw them. I soaked em in a bucket of water, and added laundry detergent, then soaked in bucket of clean water, each bucket for 30 min.
1st bucket ended up green/black. 2nd bucket ended up light brown.

Here's what I did with the most worn sling:

Best regards.
