Default Half Moon M1917 clips ?
I am in search of good quality half moon clips for my M1917 pistols . I bought a few flimsy ones that bent and warped upon loading . Any good suppliers out there ?

I always thought the 2 round "clips" would be more durable, but I still haven't bought one of these revolvers.
I handled one at a local gun show 15 years ago, but it was in very bad shape, and I don't think it would have even been safe to fire in it's current state. Pass at $700 back then.

Do find/buy/steal .45AR brass. The only way to feed your 1917 revolver.

The BMT moon clip mooner/de-mooner tool is the cat’s meow. While kind of pricey, it is well worth the investment if you shoot a lot of moon clips. Scroll down the page to find the 45ACP model.

As edlmann mentioned, 45 AutoRim is another option. The 45AR eliminates the need for moon clips.
