Default Price Check Request: High Number RI M1903

All, this rifle is for sale locally and I do not have a good idea what to offer. It is a high number (374XXX) RIA 1903 with 11-42 replacement barrel. It appears to have a straight handle bolt and OGEK marked stock. I have not inspected it in person and do not know bore condition.

Initial thoughts are $850-1000

Thanks

I think the butt stock is a replacement. I base this on the poor fit of the but plate. The wood stand out quite a bit. It looks like there is at least a 1/16". The wood also does looks proud around the trigger guard, and back of the receiver. The stock is for an 1903-A3. You can tell it by the gap in the wood at the rear sight. 1903-A3 are build different so the inletting is different.

Value depends on what you are looking for. For example, a collectable rifle. Or a plinking rifle. etc.

Note the difference in the profile at the end of the receiver. This change was necessary because the rear sight was relocated on the A3's.

The stock is definitely a replacement; all original RIAs had grasping groove stocks and high hump handguards.

I concur that your initial thoughts are about right if it has a serviceable bore.

I would do $900 if the bore was crisp and clean. Nice rifle.
