I received my email back on my FOIA request for my cmp1911a1, and the email header it states CLASSIFICATION: UNCLASSIFIED

the results are only as early as 2010, could it mean that it's previous entries are something that cannot be released?



This letter is in response to your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request dated
November 17, 2021 reference number AMC FOIA # FP-22-004296/FA-22-0334. The
request is for ownership history on a M1911A1 pistol serial number 720944.
The following Information was found in the Department of Defense (DoD) Small
Arms/Light Weapons Registry for a M1911A1W0, .45mm Automatic Pistol, NSN: 1005-
00-726-5655, Serial Number 720944. The records for this weapon are listed below in
chronological order:
1. 03 August 2010 - Army General Supply (Logistics Modernization Program (LMP)
Stock Records), Anniston, Alabama received the weapon from a Department of
Defense (DoD) Agency.
2. 06 March 2011, 03 December 2011, 19 January 2011, 07 March 2015, 01 May
2016, 05 March 2017, 04 June 2017, 31 March 2019 and 24 April 2020 - Army
General Supply (Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) Stock Records),
Anniston, Alabama performed reconciliations on the weapon.
3. 05 June 2020 - Army General Supply (Logistics Modernization Program (LMP)
Stock Records), Anniston, Alabama shipped the weapon to Civilian
Marksmanship Program, Anniston, Alabama.
4. 05 June 2020 - The Civilian Marksmanship Program, Anniston, Alabama
received the weapon from the Center of Military History, Anniston, Alabama.
5. 05 June 2020 - The Civilian Marksmanship Program, Anniston, Alabama shipped
the weapon outside the Department of Defense (DoD).
