Default Received my rack grade M1911A1 today.

First I want to thank the CMP1911 staff for such a fine pistol. I ordered the pistol from Hope, very professional and nice to speak with. The whole process from January till now was handled without incident.

The pistol I received is an 1944 Ithaca frame and slide, with no depot rebuild marks that I can find. Some holster wear and handling and use wear, nothing major. This pistol is most definitely NOT the stripped finish, broken handgrip, beat up sights, rust bucket that I feared would show up at my FFL.

I donít know how it got graded as rack but I would buy them like this all day long if I could.

I have not disassembled or looked at it with the magnifying glass,,,yet.

Again, many thanks to the CMP1911 group for this program and such a wonderful piece of U.S. history.

Will update this thread with more information as I find it.

Eric

Youd have to poke around threads in this subforum, but someone did a really nice correlation plot to date and rng number, with extrapolation. It's been fairly accurate so far.

Edit, I had a saved version. I am not the creator of this, unfortunately I don't know who credit goes to

Thanks. This is the first time I have posted pics on this forum so it was kind of a test.

I noticed that my pics are not showing on my Tapatalk app. Is there something I need to do different?

Eric

Really nice ďrack gradeĒ Ithaca. I was hoping for a nice example and I received a gorgeous 1944 Remington Rand. While a rarer manufacturer like yours would have been preferred, I am completely happy. Iím not sure how the CMP grades these as Iíve seen service grades that look in far worse shape.

My Wife got a Rake grade Ithaca this week, finish about the same as yours. Other than a Remington Rand slide had all correct parts for a late Ithaca pistol. No rebuild stamps, she is happy with what she received.
