Default Rav-Vin sight micrometer

Just got one of these in the mail yesterday. Brand new.

A very nice piece of kit. Compares nicely to my original P. J. O'hare sight mic.

Does anyone have any idea how many of these were made before they were discontinued?

Thanks.

I have one, so at least two. Very useful piece of equipment.

Ray will answer your emails, he might know better than the rest of us.

Mine would make three but it came from SBS sales.

Great product.

I asked Ray how many he made. He did not have an answer for me.

Funny enough, I picked up a second Ray-Vin sight mic yesterday. I believe the two I have are around 100 numbers apart. This one is new/near new in the tube as well.

Would anyone be able to point me to a resource on how to use a sight micrometer?

Instruction sheet that came with Ray-Vin Sight Micrometer Serial Number 061. I owned a later serial numbered Ray-Vin micrometer that had a larger sheet of instructions with it.

No. Adjust, remove, fire, repeat as needed.

I would add that after you make your sight adjustment and tighten the slide drift knob down you should open up the micrometer before removing it from the sight ladder and not pry it off.
