Powder Valley currently has Hornady 150 fmjbt at $99 per 500.
I have not personally used those 150’s but several members have posted that they have had good results with them.

I just received 5-1# containers of IMR 4895 from Powder Valley. I will probably order the Hornady 150 gr FMJBT for reloading. They shipped fast.

I have had good results with anything from Everglades Ammo:
https://www.evergladesammo.com/bulle...tml?caliber=35

These are all their 30 cal bullets (not 35 as the url suggests)

Price is $20/100. This is about what 110-125gr varmint quality bullets cost before the recent madness. The standard 147-150gr fmjbt is not a very "good" bullet but there are differences within that group. The government contract bullets are probably not as good as the Hornady 150s. There are also significant differences in the rifles' ability to handle the FMJ with it's short, full diameter section. I prefer to pay a bit more and avoid the FMJ bullets, but if nothing else is available, use them. Good Shooting. ..

Hornady 3037's are my go-to bullets for the Garand. IMR4895 my go-to powder.
