This is what I got for a reply to my question.
Hello I was trying to order some 45 and maybe 38+p ammo. Will my drivers license and American legion card suffice? Thank you Have a Great Day.
There reply is
We can only accept your driver’s license if you it shows “enhanced” or has a star.

I get a new Drivers license in a about 5 months. I will call tomorrow.

NOW that makes sense...I do recall being asked at my last license renewal if I wanted a license that would be accepted for ID at the airport.

I declined, but maybe in the future should research, and possibly consider getting one.

I would . . . .

In my state, there is NO difference in cost . . . .BOTH are outrageous!!

$27 more for a CDL in Florida ( $75 vs $48 for Class E ) and both are compliant licenses. Which means you have to prove US citizenship. Florida went that way years ago. This will be my third renewal with the symbol in the corner.
