Default Fixed En Bloc

Years ago I had a couple fixed clips that didn't eject. Lord help me I can't figure what I did with them. Anyone know if they are available anywhere?

I am suspect you are looking for the sled clip. Ammo Garand sells them on their website and eBay. They also have 2 and 5 round clips.

Here's how to make your own sled.

Not the single shot sled, the one I mean allows to you top load 8 rounds

I am curious, did the fixed clip stay in the magazine after the last round? How was it held in and how did you remove the clip?

I always just use a regular clip if I want to load 1-7 rounds and a full regular clip if I want to load 8. Part of the fun of shooting a Garand is hearing the clip launch out of the mag.

I never use a sled because I will forget to remove it before the rapid strings. I just throw one in the chamber and release the op rod by pushing the follower and half ride the bolt home to prevent risk of slam fires.

I have a 5 round clip that will not eject. It has a tab welded to it and the only way to remove it is to drop the trigger assembly . I will poke around for it and take some pictures after the storm

Are you perhaps thinking of a full eight round enbloc used with a Holbrook device? The enbloc stays in the weapon, is loaded from the top and doesn't eject when empty.

Found what I have, these are modified to only hold 4 rounds , legalities for hunting I assume.
Never used it. Came with a M1 I bought sight unseen as a non functioning rifle.
Had this clip in it.

Found one of my old ones! Say on the side that it holds 7 rounds. And yes, a tab welded on keeps it from ejecting, it is installed by removing the trigger group. Now I won't have to look for enbocs in the show lol
