Default Questions about my M1.

Was looking at the right side butt stock, and see what looks like a very faint triangle imprinted into the wood. Is that an indicator of a possible LEAD rebuild? Also, do the parts have identifying letters/numbers, ie SA 1-27 or WRA 2-65?? I know nothing about how to identify parts from various manufacturers. Is there a source that tells what the ID marks look like? I have not yet field striped the weapon, guess I am a bit afraid to. Also the book CMP includes with the gun says I should strip, inspect, clean the weapon, and have it inspected by a gunsmith before firing, I thought the CMP armorers did that, yes, no? Help is appreciated, as I am a nubie to Garands, though I have 10 pistols/revolvers, and 5 military rifles.

Can't find the triangle now, and receiver has no scribed LEAD marks, my vivid imagination.

Default Trigger group number?

Noticed imprinted just in front of the trigger guard, the number C45025 W.R.A.
Would that mean a Winchester trigger group? (Correction, number is C46025 W.R.A.) Further inspection of trigger group, bolt, operating rod, and receiver show 5 more SA part numbers, Not counting the WRA part number. Others ar not where I can see them as field stripped.

Here is the first part of a four part series of videos from Brownell's on how to disassemble/assemble, clean and lubricate your M1. This guy explains it well and the video shows you how to do everything that you'll need to do.
