Default 93 savage trigger mods.

Hi,
Has anyone performed modifications to lighten the trigger pull on a Savage 93 early model, before the accu-trigger with good and safe results?
Thanks

I put a Rifle Basics in mine, have not been all that pleased with it but pull weight is much better!! Maybe the newer models are easier to deal with!!

Hi,
I have a early 93 svss bull barrel, trigger pull is factory I called and talked to them, they said the trigger can't be adjusted, online people had made their own shims etc. didn't appear to be safe! I was thinking about after market? What where the short comings of the Rifle Basic? I think they are a little pricey 94.00 on line, half what the gun cost. What ammo shoots the best for you? Thanks for the reply.

I used the Rifle Basic trigger in a Savage 93. mine works well you just have to get the balance right on the two adjustment screws (weight and sear engagement) mine ended up a crisp trigger at about 3.5lbs and i got the best groups out of Federal 17gr
