The Viani mount is discontinued. I do not think anybody has continued production.

Years ago I wanted to shoot bench rest matches with my M12 but could find no mounts for a modern scope. Found that a Weaver #96 top mount base had the same hole spacing as the rear scope block on the rifle. Took off the block, mounted the rail on the M12 and put a blob of silicone under the rear of the rail.
Let the silicone dry and had a useable mount. Shot many 100 yard groups under 1 inch.
#96 mount is for a Winchester M70 Standard Action.

I got a few Viani bases a few years ago (6-7 maybe). It seems to me I paid $100 (or maybe it was $125?) for them from him. I had a problem with one of them (bad machining) and I told him about it, sent it back, and he made it right right away. He was a pleasure to do business with. When were they discontinued?
