Originally from Brooklyn, I am Not an Angeleno. Im a retired LAPD officer with a great interest in history, especially WW2, and small arms of that time (MP-40,MG 34, MG 42, Luger, Thompson SMG, and the M1 Garand of course).
My dream is to go to CMP and acquire a WW2 Era M1 and own an American iconic piece of history! Im learning everything I can about the M1 and I have a lot more to learn. I would like to connect with other M1 Owners/enthusiasts and exchange info. Thank you for reading my post.

As a fellow retired officer [31 years in a patrol car ] let me welcome you to the forum. You've come to the right place if you want to learn about garands and carbines. You won't find a better bunch of people willing to teach and answer your questions. Welcome again!

Welcome Stephen,
Hope you realize all your hopes for a WW2 M1 and have a great retirement. Like veterans , police officers deserve all the respect we can give. Regards, Eddie
