Default M1D. Cheek Pad

I picked up a M1C or D cheek pad today. It is not marked MRT with a date. It is only marked K line which is im-bossed into the leather. It has the gray felt pads. Is it uncommon to have one without the MRT ink stamp?

If its K-line (made thru end of WWII) pad that would be originally on an M1C and worth more than an MRT marked later version... does it have grey felt pads (3) and how is the end stitching terminated.

Likely a 400-600 dollar pad depending on condition. Most sought after.

The pads are grey. The stitching on both ends end in a triangular pattern
