CC Payment: 8/21/18
Delivered:will be here 8/22/18 at 1030am!

Well no HRA like I was hoping for but the one serial number dates it at November 1944 so nice WWII production. The second one is a higher serial number and dates it sometime in 1953 as a post war production. Obviously we know which one is going to my brother and which one I am keeping for myself

Credit card charge today and shipping updating . Should be in my hands by 10:30am tomorrow. Serial number: 4352994 so solidly in the production of 1953 and from Springfield Armory. Which is fine. I have plenty of WW2 M1s. Now hopefully it will be the shooter that I asked for.

Default It is here!!!!

This is my first ever U.S. Rifle Cal. .30 M1 purchase!

Stickied for a WWII Era SA receiver serial range 2 million to 4 million preferably with USGI Wood. A little specific in retrospect, but if they at least grant my wish for WWII Era SA receiver period I will be pleased! The serial range is there because those dates would align with the dates my grandfather served in WWII He is still alive and well and it would be highly sentimental to be able to hand him a rifle that was around the same time he was in the service fighting tyranny and oppression in Europe.

Well gentleman, I am one happy guy! CMP has truly delivered the most beautiful rifle I could have asked for. It is a December 1943 SA with GI wood and what could possibly be the original barrel and op rod! WRA Safety, HRA bolt, HRA Trigger Group is what I can tell so far from a very brief disassembly. Here is a link to the pictures I have for now, I will get more and better quality pics up soon! https://imgur.com/a/OjFMPH4 Can anyone help me identify what the stock is based on the markings? It has a W88 and a P it appears. Truly so excited to really take this thing apart and delve into more research, cleaning, and lubing it for use! Back of the tag has the Y by the way indicating it is a possible Phillippines return? Has ME of 2 and TE of 4 which from what little knowledge I have is exceptional for a 1943 SA barrel that could be original to the rifle! Further from what little I can tell, it does not appear the chamber is in the white so maybe it was reparked? I will take a pic and get your all's expert opinion on it! So excited!!

Wow! Christmas came early for me. I asked for H&R, high serial #, and USGI wood. And I got all 3 features I asked for. Beautiful rifle, thanks CMP & Judi. I will try and post some pics.

Arrived this morning.

Service grade muzzle 2+, throat 3, Springfield Armory 1953 build and has a 12/53 barrel so maybe not rebarreled.
