A few questions....

The last time I looked, the CMP Pistol course of fire involved both 25 and 50 yard lines...and firing with a single hand (not both).

As I look at the 2019 GAMES book (7.1-7.6), all I see for the M9 EIC and As-Issued Pistol Match, is a 25 yd CoF. There is no firing at 50yds.

Did I miss something? Am I confusing something else? NRA?

The Service Pistol EIC and .22 EIC are shot at 50 and 25 yards with one hand.
The special M9 EIC is the only EIC shot at 25 yards, one or two handed. It is an introductory match where you can earn 4 points, if you do not have any EIC points from earlier matches. It is shot with pistols and ammo provided by the CMP. They have a similar match for rifle.
All the As-Isued matches are shot at 25 yards. The course of fire is different from the EIC's since it is shot both right handed, left handed, and with both hands depending on which string of fire is being shot.

OK, so the EIC matches are fired one-handed, but which hand is YOUR choice. This is both 25 and 50yds.

As-Issued matches are fired with strings of RIGHT HAND ONLY, LEFT HAND ONLY and another string of BOTH HANDS. This is all at 25yds.

Then what CoF does an M&P match entail? or is that just another class of one of the above matches?

The M&P match is the same course of fire as the 1911 As-Issued match:


5 sighter shots
10 shots in five minutes with either hand or both hands
10 shots in five minuted left handed
10 shots in five minutes right handed
10 shots in 70 seconds, five shots and then a reload with five more, either one handed or two handed.


The Glock match is shot at 5, 7, 10, 15 and 25 yards. Ten shots at each distance in 15 seconds.
