Check out this eye protection that the CMP sells: https://estore.thecmp.org/Catalog/Item/848YELLOW It obviously has only one lens that extends in front of both eyes.
Just because the CMP sells it doesn't mean it's allowed by the rule. I have a M1 Garand that I purchased at the North Store. With no sling and no pieces parts in the butt stock, it's, by rule, over weight for as issued games by 0.85 lbs. |

I'm the GSM Match Chair at my club and made the announcement yesterday that beginning with our match on 1/2/2021 we will follow the CMP's new eye protection rule. There was some grumbling and then, one of our best shooters, who is a top tier competitor on the National level, spoke up in favor of the new safety rule. He told our group he'd seen the end results of an out of battery explosion to a shooter not wearing eye protection. It ended with permanent eye damage.
Maybe now the Knobloch brothers will invent eyewear that fully protects both eyes as well as improves vision?

Back to the same question Craftsman. Are _TWO_Knobloc lenses of the appropriate Ansi rating allowed on my Knobloc frames (one for each eye) so I can shoot? If yes I need one more lens and if no I can cancel my registrations.

Fart:
Please read the other thread I've linked several times now: http://forums.thecmp.org/showthread.php?t=271945 I don't think Craftman has the ability or the authority to answer your question...... Read and follow the thread I linked.

Sorry Gewehr, I have read it several times and still see nothing that says it WILL be ok with two lenses. All I saw was a reference to forwarding the question to someone else for an answer at the CMP dated 12-05.

“............I'll make sure Sara, our Highpower Coordinator, sees your question and responds back to you. Thanks, Christine........” Fart: What Christine is saying is that Sara will clarify the issue shortly. In other words the same result as if you’d listened to Rickgman and posed your question to the rules committee.

Gotcha, I had no idea of the time required for an answer and thought the question had been dropped or lost by rules folks. My bad.

Mark Johnson answered the question today. Yes 2 lenses are ok as long as they are 37mm ea. That's about 1 7/16" diameter
