I might have - somewhere! As a Historian and collector of odd artifacts, I bought one in a beat up plastic bag with an equally beat up set of instructions a few years ago. I will try to locate it.
Surely one of our correspondents here - like me - collects obsolete old manuals, books and instructions too! I even have an Army Air Corps P40 Tomahawk daily check sheet, though I doubt I will ever need it..... Alternatively, you might ask people for a measurement off of an existing stock that was drilled while in service, from a fixed point, say, the trigger hole or buttplate. CC |

The instructions for installation are cast right into the fixture ! ... all you need is a #29 drill.

You can look up any of these military procedures (TB's (army technical bulletins), T.O.'s (air force technical orders), Navairs (navy) if you or someone you know has GIDEP access through work or other sources.

TB 23-30-1, Sight, Rifle Grenade Launcher, M15. I have a copy dated 13 March 1944.
Page two (2), paragraph three (3) " ATTACHMENT OF MOUNTING PLATE TO RIFLE OR CARBINE. a. Remove barrel and receiver group from stock. b. Hook drill jig over left side of stock at receiver cut. Tighten drill jig clamp screw. c. Drill two holes using #29 drill (0.136 in. diam). Remove drill jig from stock. d. Attach mounting plate (fig. 1 ) to stock, using two special wood screws 'A' furnished with sight. Be sure screws are tightened securely. e. Reinstall barrel and receiver group in stock. " |
