I have a pair of M1917s and a pair of M1903s that I'd like to do a barrel swap on each pair.
The stickler is someone with the proper goodies to do it right, I've heard the M1917s can be difficult. For the curious... The M1917 swap is to 'correct' a Remington receiver with Winchester Barrel and Winchester receiver with Remington barrel. ![]() The M1903 swap involves a LN Springfield M1903 with a HS barrel and a NS Springfield M1903 with a SA-1-19 (ME=3) barrel. I'm willing to pay fair rate for the work, of course. I'd much prefer a do-it-while-I-wait, if at all possible. I'll bring the stripped barreled-receivers (with bolts for headspacing) to minimize the time. Thanks. Last edited by wrwindsor; 04-27-2010 at 06:07 PM. |

You can try Tom Titcomb in Haltom city, he's and old shooter that does gun smithing to, he may not do it while you wait, unless he isn't doing anything. 817-834-9554 .
He wont be back from Arizona till late tomorrow night though. They went for the Arizona state Palma championship. Mark |
