Range Reccomendations Near Richmond, VA

Hello All,

I am looking for some recommendations for a range within a 1 - 1.5hr range of Richmond. I currently shoot at Colonial Shooting Academy. I really like the facility but I want a place to shoot long rifle further than 75ft. Another drawback to Colonial is I cant take my daughter. My daughter is 7 and I would like to start educating her on firearm safety and how to shoot.

Also, within the last year I was bit by the garand bug and have been trying to learn as much as possible. If there is anyone that is interested in meeting up and educating me more on the ins & outs, I would greatly appreciate it.

options,

Cavalier in Hanover,
Black Creek, beyond the airport, near Mechanicsville,
Conservation Park, Charles City near the Henrico line (run by Isaac Walton)
Rivanna Rifle and Pistol, just south of Charlottesville, (and maybe 1hr from CSA)

all are private,

FWIW , I live in Chesterfield and have been a member of Rivanna (RRPC.org) for about 20 yrs

FWIW 2 years later - but civilians can shoot at Quantico. We do Rec Fire out to 1,000 on weekends.
