Excellent Job = Custom Shop

I purchased a M1903A4 rifle last year from the South Store and just got around in February to get it to the Custom Shop to have the bolt configured for the scope and have them mount and bore site the scope. I just received it (COVID situation delayed project) and could not be happier. The finish on the bolt is outstanding. Thanks to Mr. Morrow and all the staff at the Custom Shop for another excellent job.

I would like to thank Brent, Chris. There are two so I'll thank both Chris's lol.
Several months ago I hand carried my 1917 Eddystone for a rebarrel. I also bought a JA with flaming bomb from a gentleman who had it for a future build. But he had it so long, he forgot about it. He said he bought it back during DCM in 1948 . It even was tagged as such with the date of purchase and description.
To make a long story short , I asked them to treat my 1917 Eddystone like it was theirs during the rebarrel and fix or modify , replace parts as needed. We had great communication of issues with the bolt , head spacing, cratering of primers when test fired. After all of these issues were addressed,corrected. The final results were , sight in at 100yds a nine ring and 10 ring and X ring hits.

Rest assured the CMP custom shop is the best. Thank you all for what you do.

I sent a 1938 receiver, 1941 barrel, sights and op rod to the custom shop and got an awesome rifle back! Great communication through the whole process and got great customer service. They built it up and fitted a new stock. Couldn’t be happier!
