Default "Detroit Gasket" weave looks wrong? What do the experts think?
To me the weave on this scabbard does not look like Detroit Gasket weave. The metal collar looks real but the "duck cloth" pattern of the scabbard looks off to me but I am far from being an authority on this. What do you more knowledgable and experienced guys think?

Lazy "S" looks textbook to me.

Is the scabbard 16" or 10"? I suspect 10".

16"

The weave looks a little bit more "course" than I would have expected from a DG.

I’ve seen them both coarse and fine. It’s more about the color and the way the paint doesn’t really adhere. Looks fine other than being a little been there done that.

Master Chief, It looks good to me. Check and see if the retaining tabs have been monkeyed with. If they look good you have nothing to worry about.
