This 3.5 million SA was obtained at a gun show about 15 years ago by my cousin. Barrel date is 1/45.This gun is VERY clean and all parts are correct and look original with matching finish. This is a gun that just looks "right". What do you all think of the stock cartouches? (or whatever plural would be!!)

Looks legit. It looks like it might’ve been refinished.

Don't like the canon. Here's RickB comparison:

Looked at it earlier, I am going with well done fake. I would throw a plain jane usgi stock on it and sell it for what the market will bear. If you disclose it with the sale, the next guy likely wont.

The NFR stamp looks legit. I checked my stock with cross cannons and the cross cannon stamp on your stock looks off. If it is all fake, that’s a really well done one.

If that’s a fake I’m impressed. It’s a nice stock, I’d believe it as real but I’m not an expert.
I note that the rack number seems to match in depth and coloration. Not sure what that argues for, real / fake I can rationalize both. |
