Ok, I finally had a chance to play with Linux 0.6.0 and found some mostly minor bugs.
The confirmation dialog boxes are still opening collapsed maybe 3 out of 10 times. Happens when deleting items/collections - format errors and yes/no confirmation dialogs for moving items to another collection. The "enter text to filter" doesn't quite fit in the filter box. Then when filtering it gets a little crowded. Changing the size of the app window makes no difference. https://i.postimg.cc/T3x1z45m/filter1.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/K85jxDtW/filter2.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/mr2DD1wg/filter3.jpg Could you have the Appraised, Current and Insured Value boxes in the Desc tab default to 0.00 when empty like in the Rec and Disp tabs? Otherwise when deleting an old value from one of those 3 boxes, the original value returns if a zero is not manually entered and the box is left empty after navigating away from the Desc tab and then back. In the Desc and Pics tabs, if I manually enter a date in the format like 09/27/21, it will save it as 09/27/0021 when returning back to those tabs. Maybe force the calendar selection method like in the Rec and Disp tabs instead of allowing manual date entry? https://i.postimg.cc/Dft8gZ2x/date1.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/c4w65SC0/date2.jpg And last, after moving an item from one collection to another, the pics, pic dates and pic notes are not transferred with it. https://i.postimg.cc/Jh6hB76c/pics1.jpg |

My favorite part of the CP version is how customizable you are making it - making your own collection templates, duplicating them, customizing the form fields, editing saved lists - great features! Moving an item from one collection to another will also be very handy.
Overall CP feels 'smoother' (for lack of a better description) over the dated looking JE. I'm looking forward to permanently moving my collection from JE to the new CP. |
