My L1A1 Australian Fal Build

Well I bought a Parts Kit a while back and took my time building this rifle,Every little screw pin and part i went over with a fine tooth comb and cleaned and refurbished all the metal parts,The wood stock I spent a lot of time steaming the dents and dings out so I did not sand it,But what I did use on this grimey mess of a stock was CRC Pro Strength Degreaser it is water based,no fumes,and will work on plastic and metal finishs cleaning it spotless,also Wood with out damageing it,This stock is its original color no staining was done to it the CRC cleans stocks spotless with out damageing the woods finish,after that I used Gunsaver Custom oil Gunstock finish ,Hunter Satin,One can will do two rifle stocks easy.No Rubbing or Buffing was done to the finish and it is pretty fast drying .Also after cleaning the Mag that came with the parts kit ,It was electro pencil numbered with the guns serial number,This gun is all matching numbers except for the bolt. And below is how my L1A1 came out.Comments are welcome of course good or bad,Thank You.The plastic water bottle was the target I shot at Iorn sights from 100 yds.

Thank You very much GM1MAN,Quite a bit of work,it was not the nicest kit,About average ,I took my time and did not rush it,Only worked on it when I kinda felt like it,Thats when I do my best work.

Then you have really done doubly well with all the work you put in it. I have read a lot about those rifles, but have managed to resist the urge so far. I do not know if you are aware, but there are a couple of You Tube videos put out by “Nine Hole Reviews” related to your type rifle.
