Default M1A shoots way high?

Finished my Bula build project. Took rifle to range to zero in. Shoots over 2 feet high at 100 yards with sight cranked all the way down. GI front and rear sight. Sight placement at bottom of bullseye. Any thoughts on correcting.

Thanks

John

Yes Sir, you need a taller front sight blade. Front sight would be different on a 22" barrel than a 19.5 inch.

Guess next step is measure barrel and measure height of front sight with calipers, then determine corrective action.
Thx

This happens all the time when one puts a shorter barrel on an M14 and tries to use a standard front sight. Shorter barrel requires taller front sight. Many suppliers have these available.
