By the way hebes405, now that I softened you up, LOL - what ammo are you using for the 22 practice. I also have a H&R M-12 with a Unertl 10X scope &
two Mossburg's a M-44 & a 144LS that I have for over 57 years.

Ha! Thanks for the kind words broom. Technically, I'm unclassified in full bore, but that's irrelevant, haha.

I just shoot good old cci standard velocity. Pre ammo crisis, I was getting it for about $30 a brick. It shoots good enough for my practice. If I was going to compete I might shoot wolf match. Every once in about 200 shots out of the cci, I get one that sounds a little bit quieter than the rest. Bam, 9 or even an 8 at 6 o'clock.

Iam shooting an older Anschutz 1407 with iron sights and a CZ 457 Varmint with a 6-24x scope. I was using the Annie for 50’ indoor 4p matches and was using Geco “rifle” ammo for me ammo didn’t seem to make much difference at 50’. When I moved out to 50 yards I started seeing a difference in ammo with both rifles and when I got out to 100yds there was a big difference. With the current ammo situation all I have to test is Geco “rifle” Geco “Match” and RWS “Target” none of which is high end ammo. The RWS and the Geco “Match” both shot pretty close. At 50yds they were shot between the high .4’s to .6” with both rifles. At 100yds the Annie would hold MOA or just a tic over. The CZ shot 1.2 moa give or take. I would like to try some better ammo just out of curiosity. Just as a qualifier those are the my best groups off the bench it’s safe to say as an average my groups are a bit bigger

Shot my first Mini Palma match tonight. It was a lot of fun the conditions were almost perfect with just a slight breeze. I shot my Anschutz 1407 with irons and RWS ďtargetĒ ammo that I sorted by rim thickness I did have one flyer that cost me a no score.

Score card and a 5rd practice target

Itís an old 1964? Anschutz 1407 I bought it for 50í indoor small bore. I didnít know much about Annieís Iíve since learned itís a single extractor bolt which can be a problem-I havenít had any issues Iíve also learned parts are obsolete and hard to find-so far no issues but like they say ďyou pay for your educationĒ Like most rifles I have they shoot better than I do. This is the first year the guys I shoot with have decided to do outdoor matches. Thereís another local club that shoots KYL and long range rimfire matches I picked up a CZ 457 Varmint in a Boyds At One stock with a Diamondback 6x24x50 scope for those matches. The outdoor rimfire game is all new to me Iíve been shooting Service rifle with my M1 and AR I built a Marine repo 1903 sniper I hope to shoot some Vintage Sniper matches this summer

Model 1407...54 action it has a little bit lighter profile barrel back in the day I think there was a class for women or juniors that had a weight limit. Like I said I bought it not knowing a lot about Anschutz’s and have only learned a little bit more. It will clean a NRA A-17 50’ target off the bench so I know it shoots. Prone/sling the best I’ve shot at 50’ is 99 I usually shoot 4P in the mid-upper 350’s out of 400 my best is 373.
