Going thru some old parts, stuff and came across this canvas mag pouch. This thing looks "brand new" and almost sure it must be a reproduction? But getting old and can't remember when I got this?
Can someone confirm? ![]() ![]() |

What does it smell like? That usually helps.

It hardly has any smell at all. I would say new canvas smell? If original I would expect it to smell musty?

Usually even the old unissued mag pouches have a musty odor. If it has little or no smell, I would be suspicious that it is repro.

repro.
Man-the-line puts the belt snap centered. Other repro companies may also do that https://mantheline.com/product/m1-ca...ouch-od3-copy/ |

Great.
Here's a few you can study for other differences that can be clues to when it was produced. https://stewartsmilitaryantiques.com...63.archive.htm https://stewartsmilitaryantiques.com...59.archive.htm https://www.legacy-collectibles.com/...es-050818.html |

Thanks Matt
I never noticed on the original USGI pouches that the snap on the back is " off center"? Any idea why they would do that? I know back snap is for securing to utility belt. |
