Default 1903 S Stock Question...need id from the experts

Recently saw a gun listed with a "GI new old stock"and it had the following wrapping. What is this? I could see no other markings on the stock what so ever...was this like an old CMP or DCM stock or something from a 50s rebuild maybe?

Not sure, but the government periodically inspected, repacked and labeled their instock items. I have a WW2Tompson submachine gun case repacked and labeled "CONDITION 1 OCT 51 MIS/TE" I suspect your gunstock was labeled in a similar fashion. Good Shooting. ....

That is a National Stock Number, NSN

https://www.nsncenter.com/NSN/1005-00-103-5354

1005-00-103-5354, Part Number: 2663073, Stock, Gun, Shoulder, 1903A3

I believe that this is one I obtained on eBay for a M1922 project.

Model of 1922 03A3 Project

So could it be possible that it isinglass fact a new old stock gi stock that is lacking proof marks because it wasnít installed by the govt?

I purchased the rifle so as soon as it shows Iíll look for any markings in the barrel channel etc. Looks like a 10/43 gun with the original barrel BUT machined bottom metal
