Order #584773 for 1 new unissued.

Both the scabbard and bayonet are in excellent condition, marked - US M5A1 MILPAR COL.

Very pleased

Wouldn't you know it. Mine finally got charged to the card today, the same day I departed Tucson for Camp Perry. Now I won't see it for at least two more weeks.

I have to agree with Shashishka. I got my "unissued" bayonet today it it looks great. Blade is clean. Hilt says U.S. M5A1 and Imperial. The scabbard says USM8A1 and PWH below that.

Handle looks excellent and other than a few marks where the blade goes into the scabbard, it looks like it's never been used.

Only thing I see is there is some green stuff on the buttons of the scabbard. Any idea on how to clean it?

ordered 2 new, 1 used.

New are Imperial and Milpar.
PWH and TWB M8A1, with tie down cord

Used is Imperial - and well used. The tip has been nicely rounded (1/8" radii or thereabouts), with a notch on the top edge.
TWB with no tiedown cord, but in VGC.
Not cosmoline, but something that resembles a beige/brown semisolid - kinda crumbles when wiped, but leave a grease film.
THis one has the green on the snaps.

No DAS on them that I can tell.

Any idea what number they are on?

I ordered mine first day, about 3 EST and haven't heard a thing. Still a pending order, processing.

thanks

Don't know about dates, but my order # 585425 is on the truck for delivery today. Two unissued.

Dave

Update - received two Imperials and scabbards marked PWH and TWB.

Ophthos:

Not an expert on Verdigris (the green stuff) but I have had good luck with White Vinegar and a Q tip. Takes some work but does the job.

Agreed.
Anything made of brass will show verdigris in short order (nature of the beast).

I've never tried white vinegar but a stiff copper/bronze bore brush + Hoppe's (or similar solvent) will clean it right up and with minimal elbow grease.
