Default How to ship primed brass and ammo

I have a bunch of Turk primed brass I pulled the bullets from to use in boxer brass. I got rid of all of my 8mm stuff but still have a bunch of Turk and German ammo and Turk primed brass. I would like to sell it as well but last time I shipped ammo, I got hosed on the shipping. What is everyone doing to ship ammo and is it the same process for primed brass? Last time I shipped UPS and they charged me over $50 for 300 rounds of German 8mm. Not doing that again.

Simple Rate with UPS Ground is fairly cheap. It’s a flat rate up to 50lb based on distance and volume of the box.

That sounds like it must have been Overnight or some other special.
Simple Ground is fine for Ammo or Primed Cases.
I shipped 200 rounds of 9mm ammo for $9.25 in October.

Well, that sounds like a much better deal than I got. I'll look into it. Thanks!

I don’t think “simple rate” allows ammunition...it definitely forbids hazardous material.

UPS rules on ammo...

Ammo in limited quantities is exempted from hazmat regulations.

Ground has Simple Rate pricing. When I was shipping some ammo at the customer service center recently, their computer automatically defaulted to the Simple Rate price.

“Hazmat” and hazardous materials are not synonymous...
Was your ammo declared and package marked as required?

Yes, I put the limited quantity label on it, marked it in the contents, and told the clerk. They entered everything into the computer and it gave the Simple Rate pricing every time.

Sounds good then...little help for me as the nearest UPS counter is 80 miles away.

Go to UPS and open an account. The driver will pick up at your door.
