Default D-Day matches

I would like to thank the CMP and TMP for holding the D-Day matches.

This is the first rifle match that I have attended in my life. I attended the maintenance class on Wednesday and the GSMM new shooter clinic on Thursday. I watched what matches I could those two days and really enjoyed myself. Due to previous commitments I was unable to return for the rest of the weekend, that wonít happen next year.

I enjoyed both of the classes very much. Both classes were in a professional manner and the instructors were very patient with all the questions.

I enjoyed the time on the 200 yd range, everyone was helpful. I am not new to shooting, just match shooting, and I was pleased with my shooting. The last time I shot over 100 yards was in basic training back in 1982.

I look forward to attending matches in the future.

Eric

Glad you had a good time SS82. The matches ran smoothly with no drama. I had a couple of crossfires that messed me up. You probably already realize that if you have questions or gear issues there are a bunch of folks willing to help you.

Welcome to vintage rifle match shooting! I was also there and it was nice to see the numbers in the new shooter clinic and the number of relatively new shooters that stayed for the matches too. As Keith just stated, you'll find the average vintage shooter is more than willing to share knowledge, let alone gear, guns, and ammo if needed. Hopefully we'll see you on the range again!

WARNING!!! GSM Match shooting can be addictive.

Unfortunately, Iíve never been in a position on the line to benefit from one of Keithís cross fires
