Default M1A/M14 mags

I had a deal fall through and I was talking to my dad the other day. I had told me that he had NIW Korean T57 mags for the M14, any good? Think he said he has 6 of them.

Not so on US tooling, but they are good to go. Make sure they are legit T57s though. Different's magazine guide will have reference pics for welds, tabs, and such.

So, how much should I offer him for those mags? $40 each?

Doesn't mean anything. I have two T57s on the way to me and I am selling them for $30 each plus $5 shipping. I bought a parts lot and don't need the mags. I wouldn't offer more than $30.

I bought brown wrapper Korean mags last year at Knob Creek for like $6 each. They didn't work. I found the original GI mag drawing and started measuring. The locking boss on the back was wrong but fixable. I can't remember if I had to dremel it shorter or weld it longer. The feed lips need polishing as well needing rebent (too far apart?). After that they worked fine. I'm not sure if they are the same as what you are looking at.

They looked like this.

Sorry it not that one. He said that it is in brown oily paper. We see when we get home.

I mainly use USGI surplus mags. That said the ones made by KeepShooting seem to work. Picked up several just to try.
