This fall the club will have a full line up of matches besides just the regularly scheduled 800 aggs.
Last year the CMP authorized State level "State Championships" for the Garand, Springfield and Vintage rifle matches (GSM). Now that our range improvments are done Cumberland Riflemen will be offering State Championship GSM matches on October 8, 2011. While the State Champion with each rifle will have to be a NJ resident we will also be offering winners plaques to the match winners should they not be NJ residents. Additionally there will be a three gun aggregate award as well. State Champion and match winner(if the match winner is not a NJ resident)plaques will be awarded for this aggregate.
The following morning, October 9, 2011 we will conduct a Governor's Twenty match structered after the President's 100 utilizing the same 30 shot course of fire. The top 20 Shooters will be named "The Governor's Twenty" regardless of state of residence and receive "NJ Governors 20" brassards. First and second place will be awarded plaques. That afternoon, starting at approximately noon, we will host a CMP approved EIC (Leg) match.

October should be a wonderful month weather wise so come on out to shoot some CMP style matches and check out our new facilty. Even you die hard service rifle shooters should have a Garand or Springfield squirreled away somewhere!!
