It went somewhere into the DoD in 2002. (Navy FOIA replied "Not us!")
We rolled into Iraq in 2003.
Jeff Gurwitch, Green Beret, retired, carried a 1945 Remington Rand in Iraq so who knows....

Little to nothing useful there.

It went somewhere into a DoD Agency in 2002. 13 years later was received into TACOM at Rock Island. Tells me it was somewhere other than floating around various supply warehouses. But we each read it how we want to.

Pretty dang similar to my friends:

1. 18 March 1992 - Anniston Munitions Center, Anniston, Alabama received the weapon.

2. 18 November 1998 - Anniston Munitions Center, Anniston, Alabama shipped the weapon to a Department of Army Agency.

3. 26 January 2015 - Army General Supply (Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) Stock Records), Anniston, Alabama received the weapon from Headquarters (HQ) Army United States Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM), Rock Island, Illinois.

Then the same as everyones from there.

Anniston Army Depot is subordinate TACOM. So, it may have just been floating around the supply system as surplus waiting to be sent to a unit.

Also, Rock Island is also part of TACOM.
This was my inital inclination when I read line 7
