Red face Ladies with CMP 1911A1s

Just curious about the number of ladies with CMP 1911A1s. Just received mine last week. I'm a senior lady and I had no problem racking it and recoil was less than I expected.

That’s great to read and your first post as well
All I can get my wife to shoot is my 1911/.22 ace
She can rack it fine but prefer’s the less recoil
Thank you for your service

Plenty of ladies bought a lottery pistol. Just ask the husband's that suddenly have two or more CMP 1911's.

Happy to see some of the purchases were actually for someone that wanted to use it!

My wife received hers a month or two ago and loves it. More the mechanics, appearance and history than shooting it. She still prefers the m17 as a shooter.
It's a rack grade 1945 colt frame with Ithaca slide and barrel. I'd prefer to correct it, but she won't let me. "That's how it came, that's how it stays".

The Boss lady has a Browning 1911-22; she actually likes it and is considering its big brother.
