I sent my order off for a 52D in the hopes that I get one. I think it was the model that I shot when I was in High School.

I was one of the few that received a Rusty Kimber that was actually Rusty. I had to put the bolt assembly in the ultrasonic to get all of the rust out. Even so, I am still pleased given the cost.

I know many will be unhappy with the sale of Rems and Wins. However, given the misson the CMP has it is doubtful they can make everyone happy. I am just glad they chose to not go to auction. I am not rich enough to buy one that way, or the resulting secondary market values.

Except for the ones that were already processed, per Orest.

He didn't say they were processed; he said they were opened. Unless I missed something.

Orest said specifically that they were opened, but NOT processed.

"yes, the staff did open orders - we have not processed anything. For those who had more than one of the short supply items, we did start contacting them about the limits. Just because someone was contacted, does not mean they will make the cut."

In Ask Orest on the .22 update tread, Orest replies to someone that sent in an order last week. He says that every one that did not make the cut will be notified. "Did not make the cut." That sounds like past tense to me. I think the orders have been processed.

"Will be notified" is future tense.

Will we know if we made the "cut", before the stores get them on Wed?

Well that didn't take long. Both complete rifles are listed as sold out as of today. I have a sinking feeling that i missed the boat on this one. I heard about the first posting, but since I didn't see it myself I waited until I saw the real announcement before I sent my order. That was on Friday when I got home after work, which meant it went out on saturday from my house. Coming from Arizona, I doubt it made it there in time.

Maybe I can afford a 52D when they all show up on Gunbroker.....

Will they be available at the stores if they are listed as sold out?
