Unertl Scope O-Rings

When an auction says an O-Ring is missing, what are they referring to? Is the scope no longer sealed or something else?

The o-rings are on the turrets, below the number scale. They are replaceable.

Wow My pal & I would love to have a replacement set on hand.
I wonder if they are a standard size or Unertl own special made type.
I have seen at least three or four types. Some are one use only and they are made to fit (ONCE)if removed they are stretched out and are unusable a second time.

My scope was made in the early 1950's, so I'm sure they are do for replacement.
At the moment, I'm not comfortable about fooling with them.
I'm hoping for more info for the group soon.

I think I might have a set of o-rings and shafts with ball bearing. Let me look. PM if you are interested in them.
