South Store Opening for one weekend

Any guess on how early in the morning the line will start?

From the CMP Facebook page:

“Surprise! The CMP Anniston Store will open for TWO DAYS ONLY on December 8 & 9!

Located within the Judith Legerski CMP Competition Center, the store will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m CST and will only have a selection of service and field grade rifles – no other grades of rifles will be available. Of course, the store will also have ammunition, memorabilia and more to explore. We hope to see you in Anniston!”

Think they would fill the racks with items worthy of a 2 day special event. Might make the trip down. Sounds like a fun drive down memory lane. Wish Leon and Orest could make a surprise visit.

If tmp has been open, is this that big of a deal? Seems like if someone is in that area, they’ve already had a chance to get some good ones.

OK I'll give it a shot

1. Nostalgia

2. Staff are more knowledgeable and have built up a relationship with the
regulars.

3. You can hit the SS at 8am and then make it to the TMP store by noon
doubling your fun in one day

4.SS is closer to the source so re-stocks are more possible as are the
possibility of many highly collectible rifles if history is any gauge .

5.No limits have been announced yet, and SS patrons are used to relaxed or
no limits compared to the other stores, so hopes are high at this point.

6.A feeling that this could be the start of more hours for the SS next year.

7.The fact that many have already gotten some good ones at the TMP has
no real bearing.

8.And last but not least, these are SG's and FG's being offered. The cream of
the crop in terms of collectability and resale value. You won't find them in
such numbers at the TMP I dare say.
