Down East Garand Shooters Events coming up

For anyone interested in vintage US and foreign military rifles (or modern ones, for that matter), DEGS holds monthly shoots every year from March to December near Greenville, NC. Our next event will be on 19 November.

We follow the CMP A course, 35 rounds fired prone (slow and rapid fire stages) and standing (slow fire only). We have two relays per match, and most of us do shoot both.

We have loaner rifles and equipment for new shooters, and HXP surplus ammo available for sale for all participants.

Great event last Saturday, even though we had a light turnout (a few of us were at the TMP for the Talladega 600). We had two relays with a variety of rifles on the firing line: Garand, Springfield, modern military and unlimited modern military. Our top score was a 296.12 in the UMM class.

Our last match of 2022 is coming up on Saturday, 17 December at Paradise Outdoors, near Greenville, NC. Registration and setup starts at 0800, with first rounds downrange at 0830 (https://downeastgarand.org/index.php...atch-calendars).
