Default Colt 1911A1

I traded into this 1943 Colt last week and am curious if it has the original finish. It just looks too good to be true - thereís very little wear. The slide S/N matches the frame. Also, the barrel is mint and has the correct colt blueing. All the proof marks appear to have been applied after the finish because there is bare metal visible in the stamps. Also, the feed ramp has been ground and is in the white. And lastly, it appears to have the proper Colt grips.

I got it to be shooter but now Iím not so sure I want to be firing it a lot. Hereís a couple of pics:

Looks like you got yourself a hell of a nice correct, and possibly original, WWII Colt.
