Lapua 30.06 Ammo problem?

I bought this Lapu 30.06 new ammo at the CMP Marksmenship Park eariler this year and noticed as I was loading it, cases like this.Is this anything to be concerned about? I know lapuas very good ammo.But I have never seen it like this out of the box. With some of the ammo issues and guns blowing up lately from old ammo.It kind of made me a litle nervous,What is causing this?

Moisture. I've cleaned up and loaded cases from the 40s, 50, 60s, and 70s that looked that bad at one time, they'll look better each time you clean and reload them.

Im not sure how they would get wet they been in my house for months never out of the box.Unless they were wet when i got them .

Well steel wool,s not taking it off any ideas what will clean that up?

I have a Distinguished friend that is always saying "sparkly clean brass never made a difference in scores." Because we have guys in the club that want their brass to look brand new every load. Used to be everybody shot issued ammo, so chances are you'd get ammo that looked like that as often (more often?) as perfect commercial ammo. I know yours is new not surplus but it's not unusual to see that. You could always email Lapua (Capstone group).

I have seen old HXP have spots like you show. I think from box glue.

So its not going to hurt anything then if I just go ahead and shoot it them,Thats what I was concerned about,I saw posts lately about ammo blowing up guns mostly the Turkish stuff,But had really not seen anything like that on a large amount of Lapua and 5.56 I bought a little while back when the Marksmenship program had a deal on it if you bought a rifle ,So I had bought several rifles and my max allowed on the ammo,And none of it looked like that till now. So I was sure if it would cause me a problem or if its just one of those things brass does,Sounds like thats the case,I sure appriceate all your help,Thank You very much, Deuce.

Not a big deal, but you posted this was 30.06 yet your pics show .308. I assume the ammo is .308?

Isn’t that Creedmore Sports manufactured ammo using Lapua brass?

Lapua doesn’t want to take the shame for those spots. ��

contact Creedmoor Sports it looks like there is a moisture issue they can look the lot number up and see if there are any know issues.
