Default 1943 RR rack grade
Today is my happy day. I really wanted a Remington Rand and the CMP delivered. I am new to USGI 1911’s and have been studying up for the past few months. From what I can tell:
1943 frame. Type II slide, which is not correct. High Standard barrel, which is correct. Korean War era grips. Grip safety looks correct. Trigger is milled and possibly correct. MSH looks correct? Hammer looks Ithaca? That’s about as far as I’ve got. I’m familiar with the rebuild marks. Any clarification would be appreciated. I am just so happy with this one.

Grips are post-Korean war. Recoil spring plug looks post war commercial.

Overall, very nice rack grade. Congrats!
